Blades are balanced, user-friendly weapons that combine close-quarters combat ability with proficiency at range.
Palutena gives Pit this First Blade, imbued with certain special powers, when she initially dispatches him to the battlefield. The First Blade is easy to use and suitable for all sorts of battle situations.
The Burst Blade fires several projectiles at once, so it can hit enemies over a wide area, this makes it ideal for angels with poor aim and is also useful for deflecting enemy fire. These benefits come at the expense of power, however, and this weapon also has the shortest range of all the Blades.
A Blade built from remnants of holy weapons that were once used by kings. An especially good weapon to use when fleeing, as its backward-dash charged shot is very powerful - on the other hand, its forward attacks leave a lot to be desired.
A Blade said to have been crafted from the scales of a thousand snakes. Though its projectiles are small, they are sharp, have a very long-range and are capable of poisoning enemies - reducing enemy resistance to Pit's attacks. Dash shots and charged shots poison enemies for even longer.
Based on the traditional weaponry of an island nation with a unique culture. Its slashing attacks are the most powerful of any Blade; although it allows for rapid movement, its ranged attacks are weak and it takes a long time to charge shots.
Claws allow for fast movement, but their range is short, meaning you have to get close to your enemy to do any real damage.
Claws are melee-specialized weapons that fire talons. They improve speed more than any other weapon as they are lightweight, which makes up for their short attack range. The Tiger Claws allow Pit the impressive speed of a wild animal.
The fiery claws of a wild wolf, capable of setting enemies ablaze and causing additional damage. Their range is short, but their dash shots are guided—a rare feature for Claws.
Melee weapons, made specially for a champion prize-fighter. They lack power, but allow the greatest speed of all the weapons. Sadly, their range is very short—one arm's length only—but they allow you to rain down hundreds of punches in a vicious flurry.
These weapons fire fast homing shots, making them well-suited for medium-to long-range attacks.
Bows fire small shots, which slightly increase in damage over long ranges. The Fortune Bow is made from two types of metal that counter each other's weaknesses, making for a well balanced weapon.
Firing comets that draw their energy from the entirety of the night sky, this weapon has the longest range of any Bow. Charged shots increase the speed of the comets (making it easier to hit enemies), while dash shots release three guided comets that are almost impossible to evade.
Extremely long-ranged weapons that allow you to aim at and take down enemies from a great distance.
The bullets of Sniper Staves are not guided but they have a much greater range than all other weapons. The further away the target, the more damage they cause—but this means that their attacks are weak close up. The Insight Staff is the most basic weapon of this type.
This staff is made from a metal imbued with both the magic of an ancient civilization and the spirit of a life form mutated over many millennia. Its projectiles seem to cling to the air, ready to paralyze any enemies they touch.
These weapons convert the user's own vitality into a damaging shockwave that homes in on nearby enemies.
Almost weightless, Palms are equipped on the wielder's arm like a tattoo. The Violet Palm is a well-balanced model, which unleashes a terrifying storm when fired continuously.
A gleaming black claw, imbued with the light of the moon and known for its distinctive crescent moon attacks. Designed primarily as a defensive item, the Midnight Palm makes it easy to repel enemy attacks. Though fairly powerful, its rate of fire is slow, so enemies will have an easy time evading attacks.
Clubs are the most powerful weapon type there is: These incredibly destructive weapons launch shots capable of even piercing through walls.
Though unable to fire continuously, a single blast from a Club can turn the hardest surface into a crater. This weapon is a raw lump of ore from the Mountain of the Gods, crudely fashioned into a club.
Based on the Babel tower of legend that incurred the wrath of the gods, this weapon unleashes enormous sandstorms that repeatedly strike an individual target.
A lightweight Club that's significantly thinner than the others. Its shots travel quickly, are more destructive at long range, and occasionally paralyse their targets. However, its lack of bulk makes it a poor melee weapon.
Built from an unknown material and covered in sinister sheets of black iron, many rumours surround this huge Club. Some say it contains every single chemical element, while others claim it stores the intentions of people from all over the universe. Though its projectiles are guided, they are very slow, and its large size makes it extremely cumbersome.
A rather modern-looking weapon, covered in hundreds of windows whose lights constantly flicker on and off. Its projectiles look like pieces of buildings, and are extremely destructive at close range. Good at finishing enemies off in no time.
These weapons launch individual bombs that explode on impact, causing damage to anyone within the blast radius.
Cannons' charged shots can be used to attack enemies directly, or you can detonate the bombs against walls and other objects to catch enemies in the blast. You can even bounce the bombs along the floor and they'll home in on a target.
This weapon looks like a transistor and fires powerful explosives that hang briefly in mid-air. These bombs discharge an electrical blast upon detonation, dealing continuous damage to any within the blast radius. Some enemies may even become paralyzed by the strength of the boom.
Orbitars are twin weapons that float above the user's shoulders. They have a very long range, and are more effective when used against distant enemies.
From their positions on Pit's shoulders, Orbitars launch a terrifying flurry of shots at an opponent. They are essentially weightless, and can be handled with ease.
When these Shock Orbitars are fired, a powerful electrical charge is released. The attacks home in and occasionally freeze their target in a state of electro-paralysis, making the Shock Orbitars a good support weapon.
These weapons are specifically designed for protecting other team members, and fire shield-shaped shots that block enemy attacks.
Close-combat weapons, designed for enormous striking power. Though they have a short range, enemies won't get away once you've got them.
Arms have the shortest range of any weapon type, making them useless in long-distance firefights. They do, however, allow you to run as though they were weightless, and their power in melee battles is without equal. They are also capable of trapping and crushing enemies.
An Arm designed to look like a piece of mining technology. The drill-shaped metal projectiles dig into the enemy, causing heavy damage. Continuously firing causes beams to be launched from the tip of the drill. All the Drill Arm's attacks home in, making them very difficult for the enemy to dodge.
